Of je nu een complete beginner bent of je verdere skills wilt verbeteren, onze ervaren instructeurs staan klaar om je te begeleiden naar zelfstandigheid, jouw gewenste tricks en met name bewust leren kitesurfen. 

Waarom leren kitesurfen in Ijmuiden?

Ijmuiden staat bekend om zijn uitstekende windomstandigheden en brede stranden, waardoor het de perfecte locatie is om te leren kitesurfen. Met constante wind en uitgestrekte kustlijn biedt IJmuiden de ideale omstandigheden voor kitesurfen. Met Noorden wind is het hier ideal achter de pier. Komt de wind uit Westelijke of Zuid Westelijke riching, dan gaan we naar het binnenland of naar Wijk aan Zee. Met Noorden wind gaan we ook regelmatig naar Muiderberg. 

Hoe werkt een mobiele kitesurfschool in IJmuiden?

LeerKitesurfen is een mobiele kitesurfschool en dat betekent dat we daar naartoe gaan waar de wind omstandigheden het beste zijn om te leren. We streven ernaar om een veilige, leuke en persoonlijk leeromgeving te bieden voor al onze cursisten. Onze IKO gecertificeerde instructeurs hebben jarenlange ervaring in het lesgeven en zijn gepassioneerd om hun kennis en liefde voor kitesurfen met jou te delen.

De Kitesurflessen

Onze kitesurflessen zijn ontworpen om je stap voor stap vertrouwd te maken met de sport, ongeacht je ervaringsniveau. Van het leren van de basisprincipes van het vliegeren tot geavanceerde technieken zoals waterstarts en sprongen, we bieden lessen die zijn afgestemd op jouw individuele behoeften en doelen.

Steven is a kitesurfing teacher who pays attention to his students. He is enthusiastic and genuinely enthusiastic about the progress of his students. As a starting kiter, it is nice to have an experienced teacher with you who guides you step by step and literally stays close to you in the beginning to ensure your safety.In 20 years I will still hear Steven shouting in my earpiece: “Nick look where you are going and power on your back leg” and that will give me a big smile! Steven sailed with me for the first tens of meters flying over the water, a very cool moment that I experienced together with Steven!Keep doing what you're doing and hopefully many starting kiters will learn a lot from you (and you can infect them with the virus 🤙)!hang loose,Nick

Last summer I took lessons with Steven/this kitesurfing school and that was great! Steven is very flexible and spends a lot of time on the water/gives a lot of lessons. So there are plenty of options for lessons! I did not have a duo partner myself, but if someone of approximately the same level and body weight also wants a lesson, you can still take a duo lesson (save some money). The school works with a radio, which is great. The lessons have a good structure and are well adapted to your level. You will also receive tips for watching certain instructional videos on YouTube, very useful and good for your progress. Steven gives good tips so that you will eventually learn it! He also helps you with all your questions and gives good advice about kite spots, kite material, etc.! Finally, communication is also nice and smooth. In short, recommended!

Had lessons from Steven. Super nice instructor who explains everything well, puts safety first and is pleasant to deal with. I also had 1 lesson from Maaike and 1 lesson from Nick, I share the same opinion about this!I definitely recommend this school for anyone who wants to learn kitesurfing 😉

Great experience and great instructor! In 5 lessons I learned the basics and am now able to go on my own while being safe. The lessons location depending on the weather means we don't have to wait for the perfect conditions in one particular spot, and allows you to get to know the different kite spots around. Just like everything there will allways be some hiccups along the way but Stephen allways helped and went the extra mile to solve them! Really recommend his lessons to anyone already interested in learning or just looking to try it out.

In one word great! Great lessons with excellent material. You get exactly what you need and they are very flexible. The goal was to get on the water within a few lessons, and we succeeded! Recommended.

I recently had kite surf lessons with Steven, and it was an incredible experience. Steven is an experienced and attentive instructor who made me feel comfortable from the get-go. He provided clear guidance, ensuring that I had a solid understanding of kitesurf before I was able to go by myself.What stood out to me was Steven's attention to safety. He took the time to analyze and explain whether my old equipment was safe to use, giving me confidence in the sport. Overall, I highly recommend Steven as a kitesurf instructor. Thanks to him, I had a great time and learned a lot!

A great overall experience; Steven is a phenomenal teacher and within a few lessons had me up and running with my own gear. I thoroughly enjoyed the learning process and have discovered a new obsession, thanks to the school. I really appreciated Steven's clear passion, expertise, focus on safety and that he was not keen to have me carry on paying for lessons, once he felt I was ready to go solo. The fact that the school is mobile is a great advantage to ensure you actually get to go out on your lesson. I will be back to hone my skills for the next level (when I get there). Highly recommended!

Great lessons with Steven. Lot of experience teaching and patience. The equipment is in excelent conditions (brand new) which makes it really safe to learn. During the lessons in the water, you use a radio attached to your helmet which enables you to get instant feedback and adjust on the go.Highly recommend the private lessons (singles or duo). +2.5hs of real time in the water with your own equipment. No need to share and wait.Would reccomend to a friend.

Top school!!! Steven is not the type of instructor that looks at the clock and sends you home when the time is up. Safety comes first and he’s passionate about…passing on his passion for the sport! Also, being an expat, I got to know some very beautiful spots in the country as it’s a mobile school (you literally go every way the wind blows🤩).

Meer info over Kitesurfen op Ijmuiden:

Je kun relatief dichtbij het strand parkeren als het niet druk is. Is het druk dan moet je wat verder lopen vaak.  Ijmuiden is betaald parkeren voor max 12 euro per dag. 

Ijmuiden heeft 2 kitesurf zones. Let dus goed op als je het strand oploopt. Daar staat een bord met 3 zones. Zone 1 en 3 mag je kitesurfen en zone 2 is voor strand en badgasten. Let op dat je je hier aan houdt op het moment dat er veel badgasten zijn. 

IJmuiden heeft een paar leuke strandtenten waar je een drankje en of hapje kunt na afloop van je kitesurfsessie. Makaai beach is een fijne plek om nog even te chillen en van de zonsondergang te genieten. High-Tide is iets verder lopen maar zeker ook een fijne plek.  Douches kun je vinden op diverse plekken op het strand. 

Ijmuiden is aan zee en dat betekent dat je altijd rekening dient te houden met stroming, golven en getij.  Het kan hier flink spoken en de golven kunnen serieus hoog worden. De toren van de reddingsbrigade van Ijmuiden is goed zichtbaar en als je niet te ver gaat ben jij dus ook goed zichtbaar.
